Position Available: Full-Time Administrative Support Professional

Southern Energy Management, North Carolina’s leading provider of energy efficiency and solar power services, seeks a full-time administrative support professional to support our fast-growing team in Charlotte, NC. The Administrative Support Professional will have a natural inclination toward service with a knack for quickly understanding the multiple roles our team members fill. We're looking for a self-starter who enjoys being organized and is equally comfortable with multi-tasking and handling shifting responsibilities/priorities. This is a dually focused role with equal importance placed on the external representation and internal support.  A strong commitment to sustainable energy and dedication to the vision of SEM is a must.

Job Duties:
  • Serve as the initial client contact and “voice” for the Charlotte office.
  • Answer phones and route calls.
  • Provide general office support, including clerical/office management tasks, filing, assisting with invoice processing and working with phone/Internet service provider.
  • Manage basic IT functions.
  • Submit weekly time sheets and expense reports.
  • Assist Operations Manager with coordination of shipping and receiving needs.
  • Assist Operations Manager with inventory and warehouse maintenance.
  • Assist other team members with coordination of project based needs such as permitting, routing of project plans, etc.
  • Log initial leads into SalesForce CRM software and direct these leads to the appropriate SEM staff.
  • Order and maintain office supplies.
  • Coordinate daily mail pick-up and sorting.
  • Assist in processing new employee paperwork and maintaining record of sick/vacation leave.
  • Assist with event registration and staffing.
  • Complete various tasks as they arise to help keep our fast-paced organization running smoothly.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills. Friendly and professional phone presence.
  • Basic computer skills. Proficiency with MS Office (i.e., Outlook, Word and Excel). Some familiarity with CRM software and QuickBooks a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with an exceptional ability to prioritize and follow through and follow up on minor details supporting team members in the fulfillment of immediate and long-term tasks/projects.
  • Accomplish tasks independently while also working within a supportive team atmosphere.
  • Motivated, positive, energetic and enthusiastic.
