Green Business Awards
Whether it’s an annual Energy Star award or other kinds of green business awards, Southern Energy Management is proud and humbled to be recognized for doing things the right way.
B Corporation's "Best For The World" List - 2012
SEM was part of the inaugural group of 18 B Corporations named as "Best for the World" businesses. Each of these businesses earned a score in the top 10% of all Certified B Corporations and, on average, 50% higher than the average score of nearly 2,000 other sustainable businesses that have completed the B Impact Assessment.
Governed by the nonprofit B Lab, the B Impact Assessment is the most rigorous, comprehensive, and comparable independent assessment of overall corporate impact and shows the relative value businesses create for society. It compares nearly 200 individual metrics of corporate impact on workers, consumers, suppliers, community and the environment.

Energy Star Sustained Excellence Award - 2010, 2011, 2012
For six consecutive years, we've won the EPA's Energy Star Partner of the Year award for our work helping builders and developers implement the Energy Star program. Starting in 2010, our designation was upgraded to Sustained Excellence. We're grateful to all of our partners and clients who allow us to work with them in meeting their energy efficiency goals. This Energy Star award is a big deal to us; our team is among only a handful of companies in the nation that have earned this recognition and we're pretty proud of the accomplishment!
