
Position Available: Full-Time Business Manager
We're currently seeking a full-time Business Manager to work with our fast-growing solar team. A strong commitment to sustainable energy and dedication to the vision of SEM is a must. The Business Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Charlotte satellite office, including managing staff, finding new ways to improve sales and meet customer demand. This individual will continually improve company accomplishments by striving for extraordinary team performance and client satisfaction while maximizing profitability. Achieving performance objectives will require participation in all major areas of our business activity including: local operations; human resources; customer care; marketing; logistics; information technology; and administration.
Job Duties:
- Work closely with company leaders to implement/execute global and local SEM strategies.
- Maintain awareness of market trends in the energy efficiency and solar industries.
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
- Maintain contact with clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and respond to all concerns and comments.
- Analyze sales figures, forecast future sales volume to maximize profits, control expenses, meet budget guidelines.
- Commit to triple-bottom-line business principles and conduct business in a manner consistent with those principles.
- Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports generated by location.
- Create and conduct business presentations and attend networking events regularly.
- Ensure highest standards for quality, customer service, health and safety are met.
- Organize special promotions, displays and events.
- Conduct regular coaching and counseling sessions with team to build motivation, customer service and value creation skills.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Manager.
- Familiar with variety of building concepts, practices and procedures, residential and commercial.
- Ability to delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
- Experience with employee relations, including interviewing potential staff; conducting appraisals and performance reviews; and providing or organizing training and development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction services or home building, or related field.
- 5+ years sales experience.
- Extensive experience in construction services or home building.
