LEED for Homes
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for Homes program is a voluntary, nationwide program promoting the transformation of the mainstream home building industry towards more sustainable practices. LEED certification is recognized internationally as a mark of high quality, prestige and truly green building practices.
Developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) with input from local and national stakeholder groups, the new rating system builds on the incredible success of the existing LEED rating systems for commercial buildings, and addresses the unique needs of the home building market.
LEED for Homes was created by the USGBC to provide a national standard for green certification and rating of residential buildings.
As a third party verifier, SEM can help your new home achieve LEED certification. For more information on the program, visit LEED for Homes.
