
Position Available: Full-Time Residential Solar Sales Specialist (Morrisville)
We're currently seeking a full-time Solar Sales Specialist to work with our fast-growing solar team. A strong commitment to sustainable energy and dedication to the vision of SEM is a must. The Residential Solar Sales Specialist position is based out of our Morrisville, NC office. Responsibilities of this position will include performing outside and inside sales calls, providing customer education and performing on-site analysis and design.
Job Duties:
- Perform outside/inside sales calls
- Provide education to clients about solar products, incentives, environmental and financial benefits
- Perform complete and accurate on-site assessments to evaluate solar system potential, which includes assessments of attics, crawlspaces, roof surfaces, etc
- Generate proposals and perform basic system design
- Manage clients via Sales Force
- Give presentations to HOA associations, etc
- Have some evening/weekend availability for sales calls/events
- Interface with solar administration and solar residential project managers
- Keep up with current literature, trade magazines, and blogs to keep up with the latest and greatest technology
- Maintain contact with clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
- Assist in SEM marketing events
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to learn and understand the technical aspects of solar systems and incorporate into designs
- Ability to understand basic financial principles
- Familiar with salesforce.com CRM
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills for working with both the internal team and clients
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be willing to travel out of the local area at least 10% of the time
- Ability to take initiative and work independently while also collaborating in a team environment
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in related field
- NABCEP certification a plus
- Sales experience
- Customer relations experience
- Home building experience
