Our Home Performance Analysis is much more than a simple, free energy audit. A Southern Energy Management expert in building science and renewable energy will analyze all of the systems in your home that impact comfort, health and energy efficiency. We’ll assess heating and cooling, ductwork, air leaks, insulation, and causes of indoor air pollution, mold and mildew. Our analysis combines a comprehensive walk-through and visual inspection of your home as well as a physical inspection and analysis of your insulation, air barrier and building envelope, in addition to:
- Utility bill analysis to identify usage history
- Blower door test to identify air filtration issues. SEM team member, Michael Peaden performs one at right.
- REMrate energy modeling and analysis for potential saving opportunities
- Complete volumetric measurement of your home
- Combustion testing of All Combusion Appliances
- Insulation survey and measurement
- Lighting survey to understand existing systems and usage patterns
- Analysis of window surface area, performance and air sealing integrity
- Cataloging of existing appliances and efficiency analysis
With our measurements and testing, you’ll get a clear view of opportunities for improvement, detailed reports with incentives, rebate and tax credit information, a certificate of your HERS Index, and a recommended action plan specific to your home.
